Bechem United won the 2016 MTN FA Cup after beating Okwahu United 2-1 in the finals on Sunday night.
Coach Maria Zacharia’s side made history by winning the competition for the first time.
The Hunters having dominated the first 45 minutes got a deserved lead through winger Yaw Arnol.
Arnol unleashed a shot to beat Abass Mohammed in post for Okwawu United in the 55th minute.
Akoto Danso drew level for Okwawu United 7 minutes later after he flipped a ball through the legs of Bechem United goalkeeper Prince Asempa.
Arnol scored the match-winner after netting his second on the day by tapping in pass from teammate Abednego Tetteh in the 75thminute to ensure his side won the trophy for the first time.
Bechem United will thus represent Ghana at next year’s CAF Confederations Cup competition.
