Ghana international Daniel Amartey has revealed he was shy during his early days at Leicester City because his English was bad.
The 21-year-old is fast-rising at the King Power Stadium after successfully filling the void left by the departure of N'Golo Kante.
Amartey has excelled in his last three games for Claudio Ranieri's side.
The versatile midfielder has revealed the secret behind his early season success and has credited his team-mates, revealing he could not speak English when he first arrived at the club.
"Leicester City is a very good club and when I first came to Leicester City I was so shy because my English was not so good, but the players helped me a lot. We are together. If I need anything, I tell them and they help me. I am very happy," he told Leicester's official website.
The former Inter Allies player is expected to start for the Foxes in their Premier League game with Burnley on Saturday.

That's the inferiority complex we talk about here.... If u cant speak English, it doesn't mean u are not smart.. Do u think ur fellow French team mates felt shy because of their inability to speak English? NO! But the leaders of country have designed ur educational system to be ruled by English speakers.... Any country that abandons her language will not make any meaningful development. Get some sleep.
Eeeiii Amartey be careful oooo! Ghana has a so called English master president who accuses individuals mistake for a whole tribe, he wouldn't mind to tell or Gas can't speak good English so feel shy to speak it when abroad, that is how dumb our country has sunk. This same so called president was interviewed by a Nigerian BBC correspondent and he said return back and that was not an issue with his party, if even a serial caller from their perceived enemies camp had made that utterance, there will be no break on it on the media, but this guy who insult others run away with that mistake. That's Ghana for you. I like your boldness and hardworking Keep it up to make our country great and strong. English is a language and not everybody is good at languages, be by yourself and move on.
