Ghana and Panathinaikos midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is set to miss Ghana’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Egypt on November 13.
The workaholic midfielder injured himself prior to his side's Europa League game against Standard Liege on Thursday.
STANDARD LIEGE thumped Panathinaikos 3-0 to win their first Europa League game of the group with the Ghana international missing on the night due to his injury.
The 26-year-old midfielder has made 44 appearances for Ghana scoring 12 goals since making his debut in 2012 and was handed a call-up by Avram Grant for the crucial game against Egypt in Alexandria.
Wakaso who has been a key member of Avram Grant’s team will go for further checks on Friday to know the severity of his injury.
