President of Ghana Beach Soccer Association, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has jumped to the defence of the minister of youth and sports and refuted claims that he was part of the reason the Black Stars are doing poorly.
President of the Western Regional Football Association, Kojo Yankah, claimed the minister was the main reason the Black Stars were doing poorly.
But Yaw Ampofo Ankrah claimed those assertions were way off the mark. “It’s no secret that Nii Lante wants to change something but maybe his approach to issues is not clear, and that’s not to say he has a personal agenda,” Ampofo Ankrah told Accra-based Happy FM.
“What does Nii Lante wants to achieve? I don’t think it’s down to his personal glory, so if Kojo Yankah says he’s fighting against the FA to bring down the Black Stars, I believe it’s not true,” he said on Happy FM.
“The blame-game is becoming unbearable for football advocates in this country, and I believe it will serve us well if we can stop this for us to find an amicable solution.”
“If things are not going according to the book, we need to revisit the history books and take a cue from it, if not and we continue this blame, I’m afraid to say, but we’ll not qualify.”

i side with you, he is part of the loot and share. his days are numbered baam
As for this one, I totally support the NDC. We don't have any more dollars to fly to Russia. Nyantakyi has already chopped more than enough.
Yaw, mut you speak?
Yaw, did you really listened to yourself? The man wants to change things but he is not clear. Then what sort of leadership qualities Hon. Nii Lante has? Leaders are supposed to lead therefore be open to those he is leading to buy into it. No wonder Ghana is retrogressing under NDC gov't. Indeed #changemustcome
Listen to that ***barred word*** too. You and your brother will see what will happen to you lots after Dec 7. Some of us will reveal all the secrets we know about you.
You and your brother were part of the ***barred word*** brigade of Brazil 2014. There have been several sports ministers and one FA president since 2006. Ghana has always qualified for the world cup since Kwasi Nyantaki became became FA president. In 2010 we nearly qualified for the semi-finals but for ill luck. In 2015 we President Mahama gave us a new sport minister and if we are unable to qualify for 2018 world cup, especially a sports minister who came in with the sole aim of getting rid of the FA president, who should bear the blame? Immediately Nii Lante had access to Presient Mills at the Castle in 2009, he started his agenda to replace Kwasi Nyantakyi with Abedi Pele. He and his colleagues including Randy Abbey tried everything including making EOCO investigate the FA, all with the aim of replacing Kwasi Nyantakyi. He is seen by his detractors as an Asante man appointed by NPP, and therefore there should be no compromise until he is kicked out. Meanwhile Abedi Pele failed his GCE O-Level exams and cant even write a single letter or report. Nii Lante does not care if we lose the opportunity to be at the world cup in 2018 so far as he is able to kick out Kwasi Nyantakyi. The Deputy Sports Minister recently warned that they will show Kwasi and the FA where power lies if the win next month's elections. Ghnaians should not give Nii Lante the chance to destroy our footbal which is the only unifying ingredient in our everyday life as Ghanaians.
Your are part of the loot and share brigade so does it surprises anyone of you supporting the minister turned slapping machine?
