Media reports suggest that government have rejected the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) budget worth $5.4 million which is to cater for the Black Stars’ participation in the 2017 Afcon in Gabon.
The budget includes winning bonuses, per-diems, accommodation, food and transportation among many others.
But government has raised eye-brows as to the huge amounts expended on Black Stars games alone during tournaments.
These enormous expenditures of the Black Stars, are touted to be the reasons for the seeming financial neglect of the other national football teams.
The Stars are due for a non-resident camping on the 28 of December in Ghana ahead of their camping in Dubai before they proceed to Gabon for the tournament.
