Black Stars To Play Iceland And Japan In June

The Black Stars of Ghana will face the national teams of Iceland and Japan in June in International Friendly games, according to the President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The Black Stars were inactive in the recent International friendlies which saw the national team drop in the FIFA Coca-Cola rankings.

Ghana will play both countries in June with the two nations preparing for the World Cup in Russia.

The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwasi Nyantakyi confirmed the game will come off in the next International break.

""In June we will play two friendlies, we will play Iceland and Japan and they are going to bear all the cost for the games. And the money we will be making from the game, we will use them for plane tickets and pay the players so there are no gains from the games," Nyantakyi told Zylofon FM.

The Black Stars failed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia, but have began the qualifies for the Africa Cup of Nations in a very good manner, beating Ethiopia 5-0 in the opener.
