The chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association (RFA), Mr. Abudulai Alhassan has resigned from his position following the Anas Aremeyaw Anas expose on football corruption.
Mr. Alhassan, was also the right hand man of Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi in Anas' documentary, Number 12.
At a press conference at the RFA secretariat at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on Saturday, June 9, 2018, Mr. Alhassan said: "I wish to state my interest was to develop Ghana football which led me to take the supposed investors to the President of the GFA"
He has therefore "sincerely apologise(d) to Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi and all his sympathisers for being the person who led the supposed investors to him," he stated.
