The head pastor of Glorious Wave International Church, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has asked Ghanaians to forget about Black Stars winning the Africa Cup of Nations this year.
According to him, there is no end in sight to Ghana’s 37-year trophy drought in the continent’s most prestigious football competition.
The Black Stars have struggled over the years to break the jinx since last winning the competition in 1982 but the Prophet who was speaking at the end of year service at his church on Monday night urged Ghanaians not to hope for a change in the situation.
“The Black Stars would not win the Africa Cup of Nations this year” he stated adding that even the effort by the Normalisation Committee to restore football in the country may not yield any positive outcome.
Prophet Kobi said football can only be restored in the country after 2020 and did not forsee the game taking shape in 2019.
“Last year I said on a TV interview that Ghana football would go down and I advised Kwesi Nyantakyi to stepped down but he didn’t mind me until Anas exposed him” the preacher said and emphasized that his prophecy must not be taken lightly.
The pastor who said he had given a lot of prophecies that had come to pass also said the country may lose one of its former players who played for the Black Stars several years ago.
Although he failed to reveal the identity of the particular player who would die, the pastor hinted that the said player played in the era of Tony Yeboah and Abedi Pele.

Laterday saints and prophets. Prophecy from death to football. Ghana is a lovely place to live. Everyday there is a prophecy from so-called men of God. Today its Akuffo-Addo to loose 2020 elections. Today its John Mahama coming back. What kind of prophets do we have in Ghana. Yesterday it was an Islamic Cleric also prophecying about the next elections. Eii which country do we find ourselves. God Save Ghana.
this is not a prophecy. we all know that we can not win any trophy even in the next 100 years. someone or a group of persons have sold the soul of the team for their own success. these guys are continually exposing the fakeness with this obvious truths they call prophecies.
Another 1diot!!!!
Are you a technical man or one of those prophets who only see bad things about Ghana.
Prophet DOOM Kobi, the least i expect to hear is this ***barred word*** from so call men of God
@Fatcobra.I love your post. My sentiments exactly.Where from all these windbags who are disturbing our peace with all this noise? They can only prophesy about negative thingsWhen would one of these people prophesy some good news? Now they are going into sports prophecy too?Aaaba
There they go again. Another year, another rubbish prophesies The know all, see all pastors. Aha ! if Ghana does not or will not win AFCON 2019 and so what? There are better things in life than football. When will the likes of this chap prophesy that Ghana can make better use of the Atomic facility Nkrumah left instead of the "knockouts" that is produced out of the facility ( To wit , nothing). When can Badu Kobi and others foresee young Ghanaian students developing and rockets and satellites in Ghana and successfully sending them to space or dare I say, even sending with it a human to space. When will this Kobi chap, foresee reality and not mediocrity. We are jokers as country when people such as this guy and his like are feted and treated as gods. AFCON for all i care. I make a counter prediction that Ghana will indeed win it
