Former Ghana assistant Coach Maxwell Konadu wants Coach Kwesi Appiah to be given another chance despite Ghana’s exit from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Kwesi Appiah’s job is on the line after Ghana crashed out of the Cup of Nations after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia.
Appiah who was handed a contract renewal on short-term basis to supervise the team for the Cup of Nations after his deal came to an end in February this year is set to lose his position as Black Stars Coach.
Maxwell Konadu wants the former Al Khartoum Coach to be handed a new deal.
“Kwesi Appiah deserves another chance. Ghanaians shouldn’t be hard on him,” Maxwell Konadu told GhOne TV.
“He (Kwesi Appiah) has discovered certain players for the country. Some of the current players know they wouldn’t be part in the next AFCON.”
“Most of the young players in the squad would come on board and build a new phase of the Black Stars so we shouldn’t harass them,” he ended.
The former Ghana international was re-appointed as head Coach of the Black Stars in 2017 to succeed Avram Grant.

A South African referee Bennett robbed Ghana by disallowing a perfect goal and a penalty, denying Black Stars of victory during World Cup qualifier in Uganda in 2018 and another South African referee Victor Gomez robbed Ghana of a clean goal scored by Dede Ayew. Ghana must wake up.

Coming from another ***barred word*** coach . Former assistant to Kwesi Appiah that's why we didn't achieve anything under them.
Because you have nothing but dung in your skull that is why you were sacked! What do you mean by he should be given another chance! Even avram Grant who took us to the final in his first tournament was not spared and Kwesi appiah ,having been given everything they needed to succeed(ih his own words) failed miserably to even reach quarter finals and there you go asking for more time! You are sounding as if Ghana owes Kwesi appiah a job! Infact he should refund some of the monies he took as salary for the worst performance by any Ghanaian coach in Afcon history! I have always regarded Kwesi appiah as a fine gentleman but I won't risk betting a pesewa on him being a good coach. Never!
