Ghana coach CK Akonnor has drafted in striker Caleb Ekuban and Joseph Paintsil for next week's friendly matches against Mali and Qatar in Antalya, Turkey.
A statement on the Ghana Football Association website read: ''Meanwhile Head Coach C.K Akonnor has handed late call ups to Turkey based duo, Caleb Ekuban (Trabzonspor) and Joseph Paintsil (Ankaragucu). Ekuban has been drafted in to replace John Antwi, while, Paintsil replaces Lumor Agbenyenu.''
Ekuban, who plays for Turkish side Trabzonspor, will be making a return to the team since July 2019 when he featured at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The 26-year-old has regained full fitness and made two league appearances in the Turkish Super Lig.
Paintsil is on a season-long loan move at Ankaragucu from Belgian side Genk.
The former Tema Youth talisman has played three times for his new side in the Turkish Super Lig.
