Black Stars head coach Charles Akonnor has dismissed rumours of interference by some Ghana Football Association (GFA) officials.
The rumours are rife that Akonnor is not in full control of the senior national team.
It is said that some GFA officials influence call-ups of players into the Black Stars, with Akonnor's choices usually being overlooked.
But Akonnor has vehemently denied it.
He explained that he is his own man and only follows a due process to discuss his selection with the Management Committee members of the team.
“Yes, I am my own man. I have other technical brains that I consult when inviting players for the team and that is why they form part of the handlers of the side,” a visibly worried Coach Akonnor said.
“I take my own decisions and then discuss the final players with the Management Committee members, but that does not mean there is an interference from them,” he explained.
Akonnor last week named a 30-man squad for friendly games against Morocco and Ivory Coast next month.
