The chief and elders of Osu, a suburb of Accra, on Friday lifted the ban on drumming and noise-making in the area to pave way for the celebration of the Homowo Festival. The three weeks ban, which was one of the rites that preceded the celebration of the festival, was to enable the chiefs and elders to pray to the gods for abundant harvest.
