The board chairman of Ghana Oil Company Prof. William Asumaning has accused President Akufo-Addo of sidestepping the due process in removing and appointing chief executive officer for the oil company. The president fired the CEO and Managing Director of Goil Mr. Patrick A.K Akorli, and appointed Mr. Osei Prempeh to replace him. His decision has been criticized by some including the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers.
