“It is our desire to see a literate society where children, especially girls can read, write and grasp concepts. The Active Minds Reading Club Literacy programme is to empower children through reading and to teach them essential life skills which will enable them to navigate life with the needed support and empowerment. We have therefore partnered with Believe in What You Dream to host over 200 girls, our dream girls, to a day of mentoring, reading and creative activities. It is our belief that this collaboration and many other initiatives will intercede in our rural communities as a direct social intervention against child illiteracy," Founder of Active Minds Reading Club, Mrs Rita Agyen Takyi mentioned this when they hosted girls in the Apirede Community on Friday, 22nd December 2022.
