Woyome's Contempt Suit Is Just A Strategy To Gag Us Minority Leader

Minority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu believes the contempt suit filed against him and some bigwigs in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is just a strategy to gag people from commenting on the Alfred Agbesi Woyomes judgment debt brouhaha. To him, it is simply a ploy by Woyomes counsel to intimidate and restrain people from commenting on the issue so that the brouhaha might eventually die down. David Annan, Counsel for embattled financial engineer, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, filed a contempt suit seeking the Accra High Court to commit five officials of the NPP for willfully and gleefully interfering with the administration of justice and scandalizing the court in the case involving his client. The respondents are Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin-North; Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Minority leader and MP for Suame; Nana Akomea, MP for Okaikoi South and Director of Communications of the NPP; Mr. Samuel Awuku, a Deputy Director of Communications and Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, the National Chairman of the NPP. The rest are Rockson Adofo and Mr. Kofi Akosah Sarpong for writing contemptuous articles about the Woyome case. The Proprietor/Director of Peace FM Online, Mr. Osei Kwame Despite; Nana Kwadwo Asante, the Editor of Peace FM Online and Mr Kwesi Twum, the Chief Executive Officer of Multimedia Limited. But speaking in an interview on Okay FMs Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, the Minority Leader said he was not bothered by the contempt suit brought against him adding that his lawyers will study the case when the summons eventually gets to them.
