Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu says he is making progress in the treatment from an injury sustained during the 2012 Africa Nations Cup.
The Udinese player picked up a knee problem during the quarter final win over Tunisia to end his participation in the tournament.
Agyemang-Badu, who has undergone successful surgery, has begun his rehabilitation in the gym.
He claims his recovery has been impressive and could return ahead of the stipulated two-month spell on the sidelines.
I was told I would be out for two months but the doctors believe it might be earlier than that after review of the injury, he said.
I have started gym work and also pool therapy so I believe I am well on course to making a full recovery.
It wont be long for me to rejoin my teammates at both club and national team level because I just cant wait to get back to business.
Agyemang-Badu was a key member of the Ghanas squad at the Nations Cup finals.
