About 80 motorbikes have been distributed to assembly members inthe Techiman Municipal Assembly in the Brong Ahafo Region. The motorbikes were aimed at providing a means of transportation for the members to enable them discharge their duties as law makers for the municipality as well as to facilitate their mobility in their respective electoral areas. Alex Kyeremeh, the Chief Executive for the Techiman Municipality who confirmed this in an interview with Ghanadistrict.com noted that the gesture was in fulfillment of the Better Ghana Agenda which seeks to bring local governance to the doorstep of Ghanaians. He was hopeful the bikes would help members to bring to light deprived areas in need of development projects for them to also enjoy from the national cake. In a related development, Mr. Kyeremeh disclosed that subjects of the Techiman Municipality have been elated over the influx of development projects in the area. He said a number of roads have also been tarred to improve the transportation network within the municipality and its environs.
