A statement issued by the ADB in Accra yesterday, commended the police and members of the public whose vigilance helped to limit the loss of money after the accident. Their vigilance and sense of duty helped to limit the loss of cash being conveyed and also saved the lives of the personnel on the accident vehicle, it said. The Daily Graphic of last Friday reported that passers-by and second-hand phone dealers struggled for access to large sums of money that had dropped from a Toyota bullion van which had been involved in an accident at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle. The speeding bullion van, with registration number GW 1847 S, was travelling from Accra New Town towards the Kwame Nkrumah Circle when it collided with VIP bus at an intersection near the Vodafone Head Office.
