NDC Serial Callers Groups Divided Over Multimedia Boycott

Some NDC serial callers have joined the governments boycott of programmes run by media houses operating on the license of the Multimedia Group Limited. The media houses include Joy Fm, Asempa Fm, Adom Fm, Multi TV and Hitz Fm. Government has accused the company of deliberate bias against the NDC and government. A deputy Information Minister, James Agyenim Boateng has told XYZ NEWS the government will rescind its decision if Multimedia promises to be neutral in the handling of its programmes. The Media Analyst group of the NDC is in support of the boycott. Kwame Attachie speaks for the group. He said the group is not coercing any member of the NDC to follow suit and that individuals who want to speak on such platforms can do so in their individual capacities. But another group of NDC serial callers is not in support of the boycott. Papa Bissue, the spokesperson for the Authentic Media Group told XYZ News the decision is a tad too late. "This is an election year. We thought it wise that we can only express our grievances to owners of Multimedia about the way their network seems to be against our great party. He said the party should have taken such a decision when it assumed power in 2009 and that it is bad timing to boycott such platforms. Mr Bissue is thus, urging the party to rescind its decision as he fears it will be a hindrance to the dissemination of information on governments achievement. Meanwhile Multimedia has denied any deliberate attempts to be bias against NDC.
