ECOWAS Commission Boss Meets Prez Mills

The commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has expressed its commitment to ensuring peace and stability and guaranteeing economic freedom through priority actions. According to the commission, the security and stability in the sub region is a source of concern to the ECOWAS. Paying a courtesy call on the president at the Castle in Osu today, the newly appointed Chairman of the ECOWAS Commission, Kadre Desiree Ouedrago who is in the country for a two day ECOWAS-China forum in Accra, said the sub-region will partner with China for accelerated economic growth. The chairman of the ECOWAS commission emphasized the need for the sub region to partner with emerging economies to promote investment in the private sector. Welcoming the ECOWAS chairman to his office, President Mills advocated for the adoption ingenious ways to improving the lives of the people and reducing conflicts in the sub region.
