The Commercial Crime Unit at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the Police Headquarters, mounted an exercise at the Opera Square in Accra where electrical appliances are sold and has arrested 8 people who were dealing in fake Sollatek Electronics Ghana Limited Products.
Some of the products retrieved were fridgeguards, TV guards, and High volt guards among many others.
The Director-In-Charge of Commercial Crime Unit, Superintendent F. K. Mawuse, who disclosed this to the media, stressed that the exercise will not be a nine day wonder. According to him, his outfit will continue to arrest persons who engage in selling fake electrical products.
Supt. Mawuse advised the general public to be vigilant when purchasing electrical products.
