Kotoko Supporters Agitate For Ethics Committee Boss Removal

Supporters of Asante Kotoko are preparing a petition seeking the removal of Ghana FA Ethics Committee chairman Nana Adjei-Ampofo. Representatives of the Kotoko supporter front (National Circles Council) say they will be tabling the issue to the Ghana FAs Executive Committee for Ampofos removal over a breach in the discharge of his duties relating to recommendations made for the removal of Osei Tutu-Agyemang as chairman of the Referees Committee. The Ethics Committee last week recommended the Ashanti RFA chairmans removal following comments passed which suggests he was using his office as Referees Committee boss to influence decisions in favour of teams in Ashanti Region with specific mention of Kotoko. But the Kotoko supporters say the Ethics Committee chairman has misconducted himself by making his committees recommendations which is supposed to be confidential before a decision is taken by the Ex.Co public. The National Circles Council are preparing themselves to hand Nana Adjei-Ampofo to the Executive Committee for his immediate removal, PRO of the group Nana Kwame Dankwa told Kumasi-based Angel FM. We believe the chairman has conducted himself in the manner that doesnt warrant his stay in office. He flouted the oath of secrecy he swore when taking the role by making public his committees recommendations even before a decision is taken by the Executive Committee. There are other incriminating issues we will be putting before the Ex.Co so we are preparing and will be ready by the weekend to take the issue to the Ghana FA. If Kotokos (Osei Tutu-Agyemang) comments warranted his sacking then I am sure the Ex.Co will take a similar decision when they see the evidence we will be providing.
