After months of speculations and jostling for selection, peacefmonline.com can confirm that the dust has finally settled on who becomes the running mate of Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2012 December polls; Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will partner Nana Akufo-Addo on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
This follows the decision by the NPPs National Council of Elders to accept Dr Bawumia as the party�s vice presidential candidate without a single dissenting view.
Prior to the announcement and subsequent approval, there were strong signals picked from the party headquarters that the economist and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana was the obvious choice, save some few pockets of resistance against his candidature for the slot.
