Newly confirmed Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has assured Ghanaian football fans that his doors will always be open to advice or criticism.
He said he will run an open system where players and officials can make suggestions that could help steer the national team to greater heights.
Appiah is taking over from sacked Goran Stevanovic, after what officials termed poor performance at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Speaking to journalists after accepting a two-year contract on Tuesday, the former Ghana international said he is looking forward to his time in the hot seat. He acknowledged that he will need the total support of all in order to succeed.
�All I will seek of you is to give me the maximum support and I will also be there to listen to you and give out my best,� the former Ghana captain said.
�I would also want to appreciate the fact that the FA and the executive committee for giving me this position.�
Appiah said despite the pressure that comes with the job, he will live above reproach.
�Personally, I don�t believe in pressure. What I believe is going out there and doing the best that you can and come out with success," he explained.
�I have met with the executive committee this morning [Tuesday] and everything is been successful. To say I was shocked, personally, I will say no because I have been at this position before, but I will do my possible best to make sure success is been fulfilled.�
