The Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing has said no government funds were paid to STX (E&C) Ghana Limited for the construction of the 30,000 housing units.
The Ministry said what the nation had lost was valuable time as a result of the inability of the partners to reconcile their differences and the ensuing Board room disagreements that had led to o court cases.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Mr. Abraham Otabil, was reacting to comments made by Mr Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, Minority Leader in Parliament yesterday.
Mr. Otabil said �despite this initial setback, the government is determined to proceed with its agenda to provide housing for the citizens of Ghana, especially the security services.�
He said the statement issued on the matter on Wednesday April 11 by the Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing represented �the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.�
