Olympique Marseille coach Didier Deschamps has revealed Andre Ayew may face spells on the sidelines.
Ayew has been playing through the pain barrier with a shoulder injury he picked up at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 22-year-old played the entire duration in Wednesday�s 1-1 draw with Caen but remains a doubt of Saturday visit to Bordeaux.
�Yes, Andre has a shoulder problem, even though he played on Wednesday, and will soon undergo an operation,� Deschamps said.
Ayew has scored eight goals for Marseille in the French Ligue 1 this season.
