'Hero' Ken Agyapong Must Apologise To Ghanaians - Nyaunu

The outspoken National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for the Lower Manya constituency, Michael Teye Nyaunu has lashed out beleaguered Assin North MP, Kennedy Agyapong for his alleged genocidal comments. According to Hon. Teye Nyaunu, the comments by the legislator were in a bad taste adding that he must apologize to Ghanaians to save his image as a member of Parliament. �I think the honourable thing for Kennedy Agyapong to do is to come out and apologize to Ghanaians�. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong was released on Thursday on a bail of 400,000 Ghana cedis after spending three nights in BNI cells. He is alleged to have declared war and made comments to incite Ashantis against Ewes and Gas and was charged with treason felony and acts of terrorism. He has however denied making such statements when he addressed hundreds of NPP supporters at the party�s head office in Accra. Speaking on Accra based Citi FM Friday, Hon. Teye Nyaunu stated that Kennedy Agyapong has now become a hero for the NPP after his party leaders managed to get him released on bail. The NDC member, who has vowed to resign from the party to defend his seat as an independent candidate, commended the NPP for their brave support showed to Mr. Agyapong. �They [NPP] have made him a hero. The NPP are very good in turning things in their favour. The NPP know that what he said is not good but they been able to get him out of trouble.
