The President of Ghana, John Evans Atta Mills, will be leaving Accra on Saturday, April 21, 2012, for the United States where he will be the Special Guest at a forum being hosted by the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF).
The event, which is being held in Washington, is the most important gathering of conservationist from the corporate, NGO, and government communities to promote strong governmental leadership in the sound management of the world�s natural resources, a statement from the Presidency said.
It said the over 500 invited guests will include other Heads of State, members of President Obama�s Cabinet, members of the U.S Congress, world business leaders, and prominent leaders from the international NGO community.
The statement signed by Koku Anyidoho said: �His Excellency President Atta Mills� invitation is because of his academic standing on global issues, especially during the period when he was a visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia�s (UBC) Liu Institute for Global Issues.�
President Mills will also be in New York to meet with the highly influential Business Council For International Understanding (BCIU).
He is scheduled to return to Accra on Saturday, April 28, 2012.
