Women Urged To Help Build Gods Church

WOMEN HAVE been charged to help build the Church and use their gifts to mold, shape, expand and maintain peace in their various parishes since every woman is a shining star. Mother Perpetual Sackey, Mother of all mothers within the Tema Anglican Communion who was addressing women of the Anglican Church during this years Tema Archdeaconry Easter Picnic held St. Peters Anglican Church Nungua said women were the first to witness the resurrection of Jesus Christ, an indication of how important they are in Gods house and in society. Mother Sackey added that it was Mary Magdalene who received the good news and informed Peter saying women played key and significant roles in spreading the gospel. She therefore urged all women to be encouraged in their capacities as mothers to help in the building of the church and spread the good news. She stated that women were the neck that turned the head, the vessel God used for reproduction, nation builders as well as destructors and a people that could endure, intercede, teach, mold and above all, have stronger faith. She however questioned whether women were using their wonderful gifts in promoting Gods work, adding that in whatever they say or do and wherever they find themselves, women should always pray as Mary the mother of Jesus did. She also used to the opportunity to encourage women not to idle about but work hard to ensure their satisfaction in life saying every woman must find something to do even if it means learning a trade. Quoting Proverbs 24:33-34 which says have a nap and sleep if you want to, fold your hands and rest awhile but while you are asleep, poverty will attack you like an armed robber, she urged the women to be hardworking. She said further that during such occasions, the women would meet to discuss their special challenges, hold health screenings, cooking lessons and other activities geared towards their progress.
