NDC Officials Are Busily Grabbing State Lands - Kofi Adams

The spokesperson of former President Rawlings has alleged that some government officials are busily amassing wealth and grabbing state lands at cheap prices. Kofi Adams who was recently suspended by the leadership of the National Democratic Congress for scheming to scuttle President Mills second term bid said, he is shocked at the development and urged government officials to stop the practice. Speaking on Accra based Citi FM, Mr Adams noted that lands acquired by the state for projects in very strategic and rich areas are been sold for as cheap as GH8,000. According to Mr. Adams, the National Democratic Congress has lost its core values and principles and was towing the corrupt practice by officials of the erstwhile Kufuor administration. He condemned the development and stated that the lands must be returned to the rightful owners instead of going into the hands of certain individuals within government. Mr. Adams said I couldnt believe when I heard that people were getting lands for as cheap as GH8,000. That is wrong. When the state acquires land for a purpose and they cant use them they must be returned to its owners. He added that what I do know is that people have taken lands that were acquired but how much exactly they have paid for it I dont know.
