A former Finance Minister under the Kufuor-led administration, Yaw Osafo Maafo, has said the current state of the nation�s economy is a clear indication of the ruling NDC�s ignorance of the basics of the functioning economy. Speaking in an interview with Citi News, the former Finance Minister said the onus lies on the Mills-led administration to correct the anomalies in the nation�s economy. �Dr. Bawumia has made a very important statement and it is that you do not run an economy with propaganda,� he said. �If indeed the inflation is coming down, it should reflect on the interest rates and currency stability,� Mr. Maafo said. Mr. Maafo said Dr. Bawumia�s lecture themed: �The State of the Economy,� will be more beneficial to the ruling NDC government in solving the nation�s problems.
