The Centre for Democratic Development-Ghana (CDD) has said the nation should demand a greater level of accountability from governments in its bid to strengthen its democratic credentials. Speaking ahead of its Public Lecture on Democracy and Good Governance, the Public Affairs Officer for CDD, Theodore Dzeble told Citi News persons in public and government positions should be made accountable for their stewardship. According to him, although past and present governments have exhibited some form of accountability, more is expected. The lecture will be delivered by Justice Emile Short, a former Commissioner on Human Rights and Administrative Justice in Ghana (CHRAG).
