Okudzeto Ablakwa Expresses Gratitude To The People Of North Tongu For A Successful Biometric Voter Registration

Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Deputy Minister for Information and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the North Tongu constituency, has extended his gratitude to the people of the North Tongu Constituency for the peaceful and massive turn out during the just ended Biometric Voter Registration. According to Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa, the peaceful nature by which they conducted themselves is worthy of commendation as there was not a single incident of violence or confusion. "A peaceful constituency which also promotes unity would always attract faster and better development" the statement added. He was full of praise for the NDC party officials and party agents who constantly related well and educated the electorates on the registration exercise. He also commended the Electoral Commission officials for carrying out a smooth exercise. He assured the constituents of not disappointing them when he elected as the Member of Parliament in the coming elections. He also called on them to preach and pray for peace, and support the second term bid of President John Evans Attah Mills. The nationwide biometric voter registration exercise which officially came to a close yesterday had a high turnout in the North Tongu Constituency of the Volta Region where over 48,000 registered as against a little over 41,000 in the previous registration exercise.
