Reconstruction Of Rawlingses House Nearing Completion

One of the major issues that have heightened the perceived frosty relationship between President Mills and former president Rawlings is the accommodation for the former first couple. Some close associates of the former president have even speculated that government has abandoned the Rawlingses ever since their Ridge residence got burnt. But XYZ NEWS can confirm that the Ridge residence of the former couple is under construction. A visit to the area popularly called Boom Junction, revealed that a building at the lintel level currently occupies the spot where the former presidents old building used to be. The building has metal fittings ready to be roofed. The windows of the building have not been completed but the structure has been plastid. The security personnel on duty refused to allow any entry into the compound of the former president unless they have obtained clearance from the administrator of the office of the former president. Meanwhile, the former president is currently in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, where he will attend a workshop on Government and Opposition organized by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and speak on the topic: Government and Opposition: Roles and Responsibilities. From Tanzania, President Rawlings will head for Tianjin, China to attend the 30th Plenary Meeting of the Interaction Council which takes place from May 9 to 12.
