Ras Mubarak Petitions EC Over 'Fake' Bio Registration By Ablekuma North MP

The Ablekuma North Parliamentary candidate of the ruling NDC has petitioned the Electoral Commission over the residential status of some 30 persons who registered with the house address of the incumbent MP, Joe Appiah in the just ended biometric registration exercise. According to Ras Mubarak, the act was detected at the Mother Mary and Hindu Monastery registration centres in the constituency. In an interview with XYZ News, he stated that the Ablekuma North MP imported people into the constituency to register. We find it strange that 30 adults would be living in a plush residential address, a five bedroom house and we are actually challenging this Ras Mubarak said. He added that we are writing to the Electoral Commission today on the eligibility of some of those people who registered on that house address. Meanwhile, the incumbent MP, Joe Appiah has rubbished the allegations, describing it as a propagandist ploy of the NDC in the constituency. I built that house over 25 years ago and I have 10 bedrooms in the house and I have my workers, cooks and watchmen staying here with me. So what is wrong if they decide to registerit is their propaganda style Hon. Appiah said.
