PNC Jabs Media

The National Chairman of the Peoples National Convention, Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan has decried the growing trend of the unprofessional conduct of some Ghanaian journalists who have resorted to publishing falsehood to satisfy their Paymasters. He therefore challenged the media to act responsibly and stop spewing out speculations as the 2012 December election campaign heats up. The PNC national chairman was in an interview with Citi News reacting to a headline story on todays edition of the Day Break News paper which read, PNC moves to join the NPP to kick out NDC in 2012. This is strange it has no basis, it has foundation and nothing of this nature has ever been conceived and even translated, no I am really alarmed at this publication. Alhaji Ramadan rubbished the publication and reminded the media of the need to operate within the cardinal principles of accuracy, objectivity and balance. We have to be decent, we have to be decorous and we need to keep the respect for each other; if anything is heard and a journalist wants to publish it he has a responsibility of getting in touch with the people particularly people with known faces and known names. He emphasized, The journalists need to get the veracity of such an information but for them to just put in the public domain these speculative things which does not help anybody in any way is not positive in our forward to build democracy in our country.
