Suspended Kofi Adams Ordered To Settle Dispute Out Of Court

RadioXYZonline.com can confirm that an Accra Fast Track High Court has counseled the suspended General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, to settle his score with party executives out of court. An aggrieved Kofi Adams dragged his party to court over his three months suspension following allegations that he was scheming with a known member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere Darko to undo the government. In March, a tape recording surfaced with the voices of two men suspected to be Kofi Adams and Gabby Otchere Darko discussing the aftermath of the NDCs Sunyani congress which overwhelmingly elected President Mills as flagbearer of the party. On the tape, the man who sounded like Mr. Adams expressed his frustration at the defeat of Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, wife of former President Rawlings who contested against President Mills. The same man is heard saying he will do everything to ensure that the party loses the December polls. He alleged that the Sunyani election was rigged in favour of the sitting president and that the NDC has been inundated with corrupt acts. The party then held a meeting with Mr. Adams in attendance where he was informed of the decision to suspend him for three months while investigations continue to authenticate the tape. But the Accra Fast Track High Court seems to have turned the tables on Mr Adams. According to the courts, Mr. Adams must go and settle the matter with his colleagues by resorting to an alternative dispute resolution.
