CPP: We Shall Never Merge With PPP

A Deputy Communication Director of the Convention People�s Party, (CPP) Ernesto Kofi Yeboah has ruled out any attempt by the party of unifying with the PPP, no matter who wins today�s primaries. Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom and other personalities broke away from the CPP last year to form the Progressive People�s Party (PPP) due to what they described as hounding exercise by the party�s chairperson, Samia Nkrumah. The CPP is holding its congress today to elect a presidential candidate for the December elections. But according to Ernesto Yeboah, whoever emerges as the CPP�s flagbearer will not consider bringing back the PPP to its fold. He intimated the PPP and its founder, Dr. Ndoum do not believe in the ideology of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. According to him any attempt by the party to bring back the PPP will not auger well for the victory of the CPP adding that �unfortunately he is not an Nkrumahist.
