The two major political parties have described as a victory for democracy, the outcome of the CPP�s presidential primary which elected Dr Abua Sakara Forster as flagbearer for the December polls.
National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Moctar Bamaba in an interview with XYZ said the CPP must stand strong and participate fully in the December polls.
The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) also urged the flagbearer-elect to help organize the CPP to make it a viable party worthy of competition in the upcoming elections. Also the Progressive People�s Party, (PPP) which was carved out of the CPP, has congratulated Dr Abu Sakara and the party for a successful congress.
The PPP, founded by the CPP�s 2008 Flagbearer, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, saID it expects the CPP and its Flagbearer, who was Dr Nduom�s running mate in 2008, to embark on a campaign of ideas and solutions in order to improve the political debate in the country.
The party�s National Secretary Kofi Asamoah Siaw however told XYZ News that the PPP nonetheless remains the most viable alternative for Ghanaians.
