What NDC Intends Doing - Asa B

The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantsiman West, Mr. Stephen Asamoah Boateng has alleged that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is planning to manipulate the 2010 census figures. He remarked that because the government was planning this diabolic mission, they intentionally forced the former Government Statistician, Madam Grace Bediako, to embark on a compulsory leave without any explanation. He said with Madam Bediako out of the way, the NDC intends to temper with the census figures to favour them especially in their strong holds to enable them win this years general elections. Mr. Asamoah Boateng who is contesting the seat in his constituency again, made this known last Friday during the handing over ceremony of the Cape Coast Polytechnic (C-Poly) wing of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). He further stated that the NDC does things by manipulation and propaganda and wants to extend it to the impending general elections and therefore called on Ghanaians and the students to wake up and not give them the chance to do so. The former MP who doubled as a Minister of Information in the erstwhile government pointed out that the NDC is living on past glory, stressing that the Atta Mills government is living on the use of force and bullying tactics employed by former President Jerry John Rawlings. He said the ruling government lacks leadership qualities and has nothing to offer Ghanaians and charged Ghanaians to show them the exit in the December polls. The NDC lacks leadership qualities and all that they do is shout, scream and attack but Ghanaians are wiser and deserve better, he said. He noted that most people in leadership positions under the ruling government have never had a job and therefore have no idea as to how to manage the economy. These people only came to grab money for themselves because they have no idea whatsoever about what to do to push the economy on the right tract, he emphasized. President Mills is sitting down unconcerned whiles his boys are grabbing here and there and all he does is cover up but I pity him sometimes because if you cover up for corruption, it means you are also corrupt, he added. He said the NPP will create sustainable jobs and bring the economy back on track when given the nod in this years elections and urged the students to work hard and return the party to power using discipline and clean language to win the heart of Ghanaians.
