About six armed robbers attacked the queenmother of the Oda Traditional Area at dawn on Monday.
The robbers made away with items running into thousands of Ghana cedis. The items include a mobile phone, jewelry and money in various currencies.
Oda District Police Commander DSP, Issah Mohammaed Cantona, told XYZ NEWS investigations are underway to find the perpetrators.
�They were using weapons so the woman could not shout for help. So they left before she called us. When we got there we combed the whole bush, but we were not able to get any suspect.�
According to DSP Cantona, the queenmother suffered some injuries on her neck after she was allegedly hit with a club. She is however in a stable condition and assisting the police in the investigation.
