Registration of Prisoners in the Biometric Registration Exercise begins this morning across the country. The Electoral Commission has set up teams at all forty-three prison centers in the country to allow eligible voter inmates register. Plans to include the prisoners in the fourth phase of the exercise which ended earlier this month could not materialize as most of the inmates failed to provide authentic form of identification. The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Prisons Service, ASP Courage Atsem speaking to XYZ News said rescheduling the exercise gave most of the inmates enough time to provide proper identification to allow them take part in today�s exercise. �As a service we are ever ready to allow the officials of the Electoral Commission into the Prisons to start the process�, Mr. Atsem said adding that �so as far as preparedness is concerned we are ever prepared to start".
