Just two months after being nominated by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party and approved by the Council of Elders of the party as its Vice Presidential candidate, it is obvious that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has more than justified his inclusion that his choice is good for Ghana, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has opined.
He told the Daily Graphic that � during this period of economic turbulence, Dr Bawumia's choice and performance, confirms Nana Akufo-Addo's commitment to the economy and good governance in his choice of running mate.�
In his view, Dr Bawumia had waisted little time in resetting political discourse in Ghana and the unseemly diversionary attacks by senior government functionaries and the NDC's propaganda machinery is evident that he had within the past few weeks of his nomination, done serious damage to the NDC's propaganda economics.
He described Dr Bawumia as the perfect outsider when �I first met him prior to the 2008 elections but I was struck by his quiet confidence, humility, sense of humour, personality and savvy.�
He said the synergy between Dr Bawumia and Nana Akufo-Addo was soon made obvious to all.
That Dr Bawumia secured the NPP's nomination again demonstrates the extent to which he had impressed the NPP rank and file, leadership and the Ghanaian electorate within this relatively brief period of his emergence in Ghanaian politics, he declared.
