15 Arrested At Korle Bu Hospital...

Police in Korle Bu have arrested 15 squatters in and around the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital as part of measures to improve upon the level of security in the area. The move is as a result of recent happenings at the hospital where one junior doctor, Desmond Kabah was found dead in his apartment on Sunday evening with stab wounds and parts of his skin peeled off. Preliminary autopsy reports however revealed that clearly there was no sign of violence leading to his death. This was disclosed by the Board Chair of the Korle Bu teaching Hospital Dr. Eddy Annan. He further disclosed that the ants had invaded the body of the deceased. Colleagues of the deceased declared an indefinite strike two days after his death as a way of getting the hospital authorities to execute their promise of improving security at the hospital especially at the flats where the doctors and other health personnel reside. The 15 squatters who were swooped up have been sent to the Greater Accra Police Headquarters and they have been given a preliminary charge of unlawful entry.
