NPP Is Behaving As If Woyomes GH51m Is The Panacea To Our Economic Woes

A Member of the Communications team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Felix Ofosu Kwakye, says the NPP is behaving as if the Alfred Woyome GH51 million judgment debt is the panacea to the country's economic problems. He slammed the NPP for feeding on the Woyome saga at every given opportunity and creating the impression that the GH51 million can transform Ghana into a state of heaven. Speaking on PeaceFM's "Kokrokoo" Morning Show, Mr Kwakye said the NPP has no moral right to accuse the NDC of corruption since the NPP, under Kufuor, had a policy of even shielding government officials involved in corrupt acts just to save the face of the administration. "President Mills is committed to ensuring that if Woyome is found guilty, the judgment debt will be retrieved...he (Mills) never said anywhere he had no knowledge of the payment to Woyome in the initial stage...," he said. The NDC activist also dismissed calls for the arrest of former Attorney General, Betty Mould Iddrisu for her role in the Woyome saga, stressing that such claims have no basis.
