NPP Will Retire Mills

THE DECEMBER national elections will provide the New Patriotic Party (NPP) the grand opportunity to retire President Mills, says Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka Napo, MP for Manhyia. According to him, President Mills looked weak and seemed like someone who is not ready to steer the affairs of the country. He consequently stated the NPP would record a landslide victory in the polls during the first round which would send Mills who had failed woefully as president to pension. Napo was addressing a mammoth crowd of NPP members at Alabar in the Manhyia constituency recently during the official inauguration of the Zongo Pioneers, a splinter group in the NPP. He observed that the country is backtracking in terms of development ever since President Mills took office, urging the electorate to boot out the under-performing NDC administration. According to him, Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP presidential candidate was the best person to lead the country into affluence and entreated Ghanaians to vote massively him. He accused the NDC government of wasting national resources without justification, citing the GH51.2 million given to Alfred Woyome as a clear example of its incompetence. He insisted that Nana Addos free senior high school education policy which the NDC has raised doubts about is feasible, insisting the huge amounts paid to Woyome and Construction Pioneers could finance it for four years. Dr. Napo said the Zongo communities are currently wallowing in poverty because the NDC government has not introduced any single programme or policy to better their lives. He urged these communities to turn their back on the NDC and vote massively for the NPP and its presidential candidate, Nana Akufo Addo, insisting he is passionate about developing Zongo communities. He said Nana Addo has plans of introducing a Zongo Development Fund which would be used to develop these areas.
