Betty Mould Iddrisu To Sue For 'Fake' Mansion Story

Nana Ato Dadzie, lawyer for former Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Betty Mould Iddrissu says, his client is demanding an apology from Ghanaweb.com for publishing a story alleging that she has bought three houses in the Britain. Mr. Ato Dadzie speaking on behalf of his client denied the story which has since been removed from the website. According to Mr. Ato Dadzie the publication was meant to vilify madam Betty Mould Iddrissu. In an interview with XYZ News, Mr. Ato Dadzie said his team will consider suing Ghanaweb.com if it does not render an unqualified apologize over the publication. Clearly this is an unacceptable conduct and we are weighing our options and we do know that the story was listed on Ghanaweb, we have the number even though it has been removed. We are asking for a formal apology short of that then we would have to go to the law for redemption of her image. Nana Ato Dadzie has also brushed off calls for the prosecution of his client by some pressure groups like AFAG. My client is not on trial, I am a lawyer and I respect the ethics of my profession. I would not comment on a case that is going in the court of law. I am going to tell you that whatever they are saying there does not affect my client because she is not on trial. Anybody saying my client should be arrested because things being said in court must go back to the first year law school.
