Tain NPP Receives T-Shirts

THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tain constituency has seen a dramatic boost in activities ever since the partys parliamentary candidate for the area was arrested and detained by police under bizarre circumstances not long ago. More people previously unknown to be NPP sympathizers have now openly declared their support for the party and its parliamentary candidate and are actively engaged in the campaign to return the party to power, come December 7. Joseph Ofori Amanfo, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Tain told DAILY GUIDE that attempts by leading members of the ruling party to ruin his reputation and political career through his arrest and detention had rather caused the people in the constituency to support for him and his party. He said more people in and outside the constituency had since been donating various items to support the NPP in the area. Mr. Amanfo disclosed this during the donation of 1000 polo shirts to the constituency by a party sympathizer in Sunyani recently. The t-shirts which have the pictures of NPP flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo and his running mate, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, were donated to the party by an Australia-based NPP sympathizer William John Appiah, who hails from Seikwa in the constituency. Mr. Appiah explained the gesture was born out of his love for the NPP. He noted the NDC government had woefully failed Ghanaians especially the people of Tain. He therefore called on people in his constituency to reject the NDC and its parliamentary candidate by voting massively for Mr. Amanfo and Nana Akufo-Addo in order to redeem them from their current economic woes. The aspiring MP thanked the philanthropist for coming to the aid of the party and called on other party faithful to emulate his good example to equip the NPP logistically to campaign more effectively. The items were received on behalf of the party by Alfred Ofori Annye, NPP Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary.
