Koku Is Too Aggressive And Unprofessional - Awuni

Koku Anyidohos apparent aggressive posture is uncomplimentary of the demeanour of President J.E.A. Mills; that is according to a former Spokesperson of Ex-President Kufuor, Andrew Awuni. According to Mr Awuni, Koku comes across as a very aggressive person who takes no prisoners as a politician; a situation which is affecting the delivery of his professional duties to the president. Koku and President Mills are two different characters, if what we see in the news is true. President Mills comes across as a gentleman. Koku comes across as a very aggressive person and that for me doesnt reflect President Mills, Mr Awuni averred. Mr. Awuni who was speaking on governance, democracy and leadership in Ghana as guest on Breakfast XYZ, Thursday, said communication is a professional job and one who takes up that role must do well to promote the person and not himself. You always have to reflect the demeanor of your client. The character of your client. He stressed. He said Mr. Anyidoho is very political and not professional in the field of communication. He suggested that the presidents spokesperson is too engrossed in the politics of our time and therefore fails to realize that he has a professional duty to the president. You cannot take the shine away from the president. The day the president thinks that you are taking the shine away from him he will fire you, he opined adding, perhaps Koku would have fitted better in another capacity and not where is he now... He has the drive, he has the strength, I dont like his aggressive. He said the Presidency is riddled with a labyrinth of treacherous people who want the position occupied by others and therefore scheme to get their way into the Presidents good books. According to him, in order to survive, one must perform his/her duties and stay away from unnecessary controversies. The communication system in the Presidency is a very difficult one. First of all it is a very enviable position, and I can tell you what; this is politics. In Politics, the 75 or 80 people who are working with Presidency Mills, let me tell you [that] everyday, somebody is standing somewhere working very hard to get out of your position. Mr Awuni,a key member of the New Patriotic Party and the Executive Director ofCentre for Freedom and Accuracy also touched on the chances of his flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo in the upcoming elections. He expressed the belief that the NPP flagbearer will be victorious. I think that he has a good chance because sometimes when you try over and over again - and President Mills has demonstrated that - I think that Nana Akufo Addo has tried with the people and I think he has a chance. Mr Awuni said after working closely with the NPP flagbearer in the past, the latter's diligent approach to work will make him a competent leader of the country, saying he has a good work ethic. Answering questions as to his personal ambitions as an aspiring Member of Parliament for Bongo, Mr Awuni said he is waiting for the green light from his people who rejected his bid in 2004. He indicated that as and when his people decide that it is time for him to go to parliament, he will gladly take up the mantle.
