Dr. Bawumia Ends Successful Nalerigu Tour

NPP Vice-Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has rounded off the first leg of his Mamprugu Tour with political durbars in and around the ancient town of Nalerigu on Friday. The first leg of the tour saw Dr. Bawumia touring and interacting with the chiefs and people of over 45 communities in the Nalerigu-Gambaga constituency in three days. Reports from the Nalerigu-Gambaga constituency tell of a very enthusiastic response with hundreds of people gathering in almost all the stops to listen to Dr. Bawumia and his team. Dr. Bawumia has been explaining the vision of the NPP and its flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo to the people and also sharing various developmental ideas with the chiefs and people of the area. The NPP Running Mate on Friday visited Nagboo, one of the big communities in the constituency. Dr. Bawumia and his team joined fellow Muslims at Nagboo for Friday Jummah Prayers and also paid a courtesy call on the Chief and elders of Nagboo before addressing a political durbar with hundreds in attendance. Dr. Bawumia told the people of Nagboo that the NPP under Nana Akufo-Addo would be a government which would truly stay committed to developing the North. He asked the people to look at the record of the NPP while it was in power and recognize that the NPP is the only Party which can truly transform their lives positively. The Vice-Presidential Candidate from Nagboo, visited over a dozen other communities including Gambaga and addressed similar political durbars in all such communities. At Gambaga, Dr. Bawumia told the people that he was in politics to contribute his all to reducing the hardships of the ordinary Ghanaian. He said that knowing Nana Akufo-Addo, he could say without any shred of doubt that he also had a burning passion to see Ghana develop and to see Ghanaians enjoying decent lives. He said the reason I decided to live Banking and to join politics is because I want to contribute my all to bringing improvements into the lives of Ghanaians. I know Nana Akufo-Addo and I know he is also greatly worried about the plight of the Ghanaian and would do everything to make life comfortable and that is why we are seeking your support. We are seeking your support to make life better. The second leg of the tour would see Dr. Bawumia touring his home constituency of Walewale. His aides have told Peacefmonline that the format for the tour would remain same and involves well organized community to community political durbars which are addressed by Dr. Bawumia and his team. According to them, this strategy is most effective and has been very successful so far, as it affords the people the opportunity to have a better interaction with the Vice-Presidential candidate. This strategy also ensures that Dr. bawumia visits as many communities as possible and this gives him the opportunity to learn at first hand the situation in all these communities and the concerns of the people. Dr. Bawumia is accompanied on the tour by a number of eminent NPP personalities from the Mamprugu area. These include Mr. Bugri Naabu, a leading member of the NPP in the Northern Region, Mr. J.J Yidana, a former Police Chief who was exiled after the 31st December coup. Mustapha Hamid, spokesperson to NPP presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, Mr. Ben Salifu, former Northern Regional Minister, NPP National Youth Organizer, Anthony Karbo, Madam Rita Asobayere, former National Womens Organizer of the NPP, Rashid COP, Northern Regional Youth Organizer and the parliamentary candidate of the NPP in the Nalerigu-Gambaga constituency, Peter Wuni Baga.
